Louvain is worldwide known for its University, one of the first universities of the world, founded at beginning of S.XV, but Louvain is much more than a university city.
During this free tour you will discover gothic treasures, such as its impressive city hall, the Cathedral of Sant Peter, the medieval market square or the Ouder Markt, today meeting point of the citizens with its enormous terrace.
In a city as Louvain, where in any corner there is a reminder that Louvain is home of one of the largest and oldest universities, we could see numerous buildings related to the University, such us the University Library with its impressive tower on the Rectorate Square, several Faculties build in different arquitectural styles.
Our last spot will be the Beguinage, a must-to-do in this city, the best preserved and most spectacular medieval women city of all the country.
